My Journey I grew up in a small Ohio town and attended various schools across the state. I hold degrees from the University of Cincinnati, Cleveland State University, and Akron University-JDMBA. My decision to write was driven by personal events involving two people close to me. My best friend needed a distraction during a tough time, she inspired me to start this new journey. I also wanted to share my story, "My Devil My Angel," with my niece, who faced similar challenges I did as a young woman. Instead of preaching, I chose to tell my story through a book. She needed to know she’s not alone and can overcome her struggles. The book’s true message is that life’s ups and downs can be overcome—survived and you can thrive if you let go of the past.
